SOLAIC promotes a new scientific bridge to strengthen clinical oncology in Latin America, Ibero-America and the Caribbean
A new international scientific society is born to promote education, research and collaboration among professionals and institutions in the region, with Lima as the venue for its Annual Congress SOLAIC 2027.

The Latin American, Ibero-American and Caribbean Society of Clinical Oncology (SOLAIC) was created with the purpose of building a new meeting space for the oncology community of our region, promoting continuing medical education, research, scientific exchange and collaboration among specialists, medical societies, institutions and universities.
SOLAIC seeks to connect professionals from Latin America, Ibero-America and the
Caribbean to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experiences, promote new opportunities for scientific collaboration and contribute to the development of clinical oncology excellence.
The society brings together leaders and professionals from different countries in the region, creating an international platform aimed at strengthening the professional and scientific development of the oncology community.
A scientific bridge without borders
Oncology is advancing rapidly, and new knowledge, treatments, and technologies create opportunities, but also significant challenges for health systems and professionals in our region.
In this context, SOLAIC wants to become a scientific bridge connecting people, knowledge, and institutions.
A space where specialists can share experiences, present
research, discuss the most relevant advances in oncology and develop academic initiatives that respond to the needs of our countries.
The society will develop congresses, symposia, webinars, educational programs, publications and scientific collaboration activities , in addition to promoting clinical research initiatives and evidence generation.
Education, research and collaboration
Continuing medical education is one of SOLAIC's core principles. The society will work to facilitate professionals' access to scientific content and the main innovations that are transforming oncology practice.
At the same time, SOLAIC seeks to promote collaborative research and create opportunities for specialists from different countries to work together, share experiences, and generate their own knowledge for our region.
The vision is to build a more connected, participatory scientific community that is open to international collaboration.
Lima will host the 1st SOLAIC International Congress 2027
As part of this new project, Lima, Peru, will host the 1st SOLAIC International Congress, to be held on February 19 and 20, 2027.
The Congress will bring together specialists from Latin America, Ibero-America and the Caribbean to address some of the main advances and challenges of contemporary oncology, including precision medicine, biomarkers, new therapies, technological innovation and the specific challenges of cancer care in our region.
Beyond its scientific program, the Congress will be a space to connect professionals from different countries, share experiences, and promote dialogue among specialists, scientific societies, universities, and institutions. It will also be an opportunity to identify areas of common interest and develop new academic, educational, and research initiatives that can have a positive impact on our region.
It will also be an opportunity to strengthen relationships between professionals and institutions and generate new scientific collaboration initiatives.

SOLAIC is conceived as a society open to the participation of oncologists and other health professionals committed to the advancement of oncology.
Membership will allow you to be part of an international network of professionals, access educational activities and scientific content, participate in working groups and committees, and contribute to the development of new academic initiatives.

From its administrative headquarters in the United Kingdom and with a scientific community made up of professionals from different countries, SOLAIC begins this new stage with a clearly regional and international vision.
SOLAIC wants to be a bridge, not a border: connecting the knowledge, people and institutions that are driving oncology in our region.
Lima 2027 will be the first major meeting on this new path.
